A People-Centered Path to Net Zero and Resilience in Peru

In June 2025, Peru submitted its long-term strategy, the "Estrategia Nacional ante el Cambio Climático al 2050" (ENCC 2050), to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), outlining its path toward net-zero emissions and climate resilience by 2050. The strategy was developed through an inclusive, whole-of-government process with support from the 2050 Pathways Platform, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), coordinated through the NDC Partnership.
