Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) are key frameworks guiding climate action, energy transition and investment planning in Energy Community Contracting Parties. As countries move from target setting to implementation of their 2030 commitments, stronger coherence between climate and energy planning is increasingly important for effective governance, coordinated delivery and investment mobilisation.
Organized by IRENA and the NDC Partnership Support Unit, this webinar will bring together policymakers and practitioners to exchange lessons from recent NDC and NECP planning cycles. Drawing on country experiences and expert dialogue, participants will explore practical approaches to strengthen institutional coordination, improve consistency of targets and evidence, translate priorities into implementation and investment plans, and inform future climate and energy planning beyond 2030.
