​Raising Ambition through Partnership: Activating Alignment: Connecting the Dots for Climate, Nature and Land​

2026 is a “Triple COP Year,” bringing with it increased attention to synergies and alignment opportunities across the three Rio Conventions (UNFCCC, CBD, and UNCCD). The implementation of climate, biodiversity and land commitments can bring about important synergies, including through nature-based solutions (NbS), ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA), climate-smart agriculture, and other interventions.  

The case for integrated planning and action across climate, biodiversity and land is compelling. Leading to:

• Increased efficiency across ministry planning processes
• Access a wider range of technical and financial resources
• Identification of solutions that simultaneously produce co-benefits across climate change mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity conservation and land restoration

This webinar will dive deeper into synergies across the Rio Conventions, outlining implementation opportunities, sharing successful country examples, and presenting opportunities for the joined up, impactful and efficient deployment of support.
