Details

Co-hosted by Concito, NDC Partnership and DCA Actalliance, this flagship event brings together leaders from government, finance and civil society to confront climate change as an accelerating security threat. Building on the momentum of the Petersberg Climate Dialogue, the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial, and the road to COP30, the gathering will spotlight how climate shocks endanger global financial stability, food-energy-water systems, public health, and geopolitical stability—driving irregular migration and conflict.

Speakers will showcase the transformational power of country-owned, multistakeholder collaboration to keep the 1.5 °C goal within sight, even as the emissions gap narrows. Discussions will focus on:

  • Unlocking finance at scale — echoing IHLEG’s call for US $1.9 trillion in domestic and US $1.3 trillion in external annual investment for developing countries by 2035 — and on directing these funds efficiently toward simultaneous mitigation, adaptation, resilience and sustainable development gains.
  • Treating climate action as security policy — highlighting how renewable energy, resilient infrastructure, and nature-based solutions can strengthen both national security and local human security.
  • Addressing loss and damage — delivering on the “Baku to Belém Roadmap to 1.3 T,” ensuring vulnerable nations receive the support they need.

By elevating ambition, scaling finance and forging durable partnerships, the event will chart a clear path to safeguard people, economies, and the planet in an era of interconnected polycrises.
