COP31: Meet the Experts — Private Sector Engagement Unlocked

As countries move from climate commitments to implementation, how can governments and businesses work together to translate national climate priorities into concrete business and investment opportunities?  

Building on discussions at COP30, this interactive session, co-hosted by the NDC Partnership and Business Sweden, will bring together government representatives, businesses, investors, and development partners to share practical experiences, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to private sector engagement in NDC implementation.  

Through a dynamic, rapid-fire exchange, panelists will explore how to strengthen enabling policy and regulatory environments, develop investable project pipelines, deploy innovative technologies and solutions, and mobilize domestic and international private investment. The discussion will highlight opportunities for businesses and investors, including Swedish companies, to contribute investment, technology, innovation, and expertise in support of country-led NDC priorities. It will also identify persistent barriers and explore practical approaches to strengthening partnerships, accelerating implementation, and delivering tangible climate and development outcomes.
