COP31: How to Successfully Implement Investment Plans Designed to Support Climate Strategies?
As attention shifts toward the implementation of national climate strategies – such as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) and Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies (LT-LEDS – the development of investment plans is a critical prerequisite for translating climate commitments into concrete action.
This event aims to discuss the key success factors for these investment plans, ensuring they effectively catalyze investment in the real economy. The discussion will focus on "best practices" drawn from real-world country-level examples, seeking to identify the institutional, political, financial and technical conditions that make an investment plan useful and operational. It will also address the role of domestic actors, such as national development banks.
