Details

Atmospheric observations and modelling provide critical and timely information on the levels of emissions and uptakes of greenhouse gas. Such information allows for improved evaluation of national climate policy and can be used to correct the course if NDCs are not bringing the desired climate outcomes. The examples of countries that use atmospheric observations for decision support will be presented. The Global Greenhouse Gas Watch develop under the leadership of WMO scales up this approach to the whole globe and it will be presented as well.
