Climate Finance Forum in Central Asia and South Caucasus
The Climate Finance Forum in Central Asia & South Caucasus will bring together stakeholders from around the region for the following two-part programme:
Day 1 entails the presentations of Tajikistan’s NDC Implementation and Investment Plans, and a Peer Convening session on investment planning, organized by the NDC Partnership. This will be followed by a three-day workshop organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), featuring hands-on training on regional project proposal development by the Green Climate Fund, the Global Environment Facility, and the Adaptation Fund.
Representatives from NDC Partnership members, International Finance Institutions, Multilateral Development Banks, and other Development Partners will join this event to share success stories and lessons learned around inclusive climate financing and international investment for NDC implementation. They will join representatives from the Tajikistan national and subnational government agencies, civil society, and other stakeholders to discuss key aspects of the climate finance ecosystem, analyze opportunities and challenges, and identify ways forward to shape the climate agenda globally, in Central Asia, and within Tajikistan.
The Forum will take place in the Hyatt Hotel in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. This event is by invitation only.
