YEF2025: Meaningful Youth Engagement in NDCs 3.0
Young people make up the stakeholder group most affected by climate change. Youth inclusion in the NDCs 3.0 process helps strengthen implementation and buy-in.
Engaging young people in the development, planning and implementation of their countries’ NDCs is central to the NDC Partnership’s commitment to inclusive, whole-of-society climate action. Ensuring meaningful youth participation requires not only political will but also targeted climate finance, enabling governments and young people to co-create and scale youth-led solutions.
Co-hosted by the NDC Partnership and UNDP, the 2025 Youth Engagement Forum (YEF2025) on Meaningful Youth Engagement in NDCs 3.0 will provide a platform for intergenerational dialogue that complements youth-focused NDC 3.0 events at SB62 and strengthens engagement between governments and youth ahead of COP30. The NDC Working Group of YOUNGO, in collaboration with IIYFCC will share insights from youth consultations to shape the sessions and support meaningful discussions.
YEF2025 highlights opportunities for young people to engage with their governments in shaping and implementing NDCs 3.0.
About YEF2025
YEF2025 will convene NDC Partnership members, partners and youth leaders committed to scaling meaningful youth engagement in national climate action.
YEF2025 is open to registered participants via Zoom, with simultaneous interpretation available in English, Spanish and French for all sessions, and in Portuguese for select sessions. The agenda will be shared soon and registration links will be made available in August.
