Mario Roberto García Portillo

Mario Garcia is the NDC Partnership In-Country Facilitator for El Salvador and is embedded within the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. He completed his bachelor’s degree in forestry engineering and holds a master’s degree in environmental management. Mario has over 15 years of experience in project management with international cooperation, with emphasis on ecosystem services and climate change; has experience in development of cooperation systems, formulation of public policies, climate financing, socio-environmental research, strategic planning, active learning, and prospective research.
