Republic of the Marchall Islands In-Country Facilitator

Kirsten is the In-Country Facilitator for the Marshall Islands. Previously, Kirsten worked in the Office of Environmental Policy and Planning Coordination (OEPPC) as the Majuro Climate Change Coordinator. In this role, she helped implement and coordinate climate-related activities in Majuro, supporting local adaptation and resilience-building efforts. She also worked with the Climate Change Directorate, where she continued advancing national climate initiatives. In 2021, she became Project Coordinator for the Third National Communication (TNC) and First Biennial Update Report (BUR). In this capacity, she leads national efforts to fulfill the Marshall Islands’ reporting obligations under the Paris Agreement and the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF). She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the Chaminade University of Honolulu.
