Iurie Brumarel

Iurie Brumarel is the NDC Partnership In-Country Facilitator for Moldova, embedded within the Ministry of Environment. In this role, he supports the coordination and implementation of Moldova’s NDC 3.0, fosters inter-ministerial collaboration and mobilizes technical and financial assistance to advance the country’s climate and sustainable development priorities. His expertise spans biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, climate policy, and environmental governance, strengthened by extensive experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.

He holds a PhD in Ecology and Environmental Protection from the National Institute of Ecology of Moldova (now the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova) and an MBA from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, complemented by qualifications in agribusiness and rural development.
