Ilaisa Naca
Country Engagement Specialist

Ilaisa Naca is a Country Engagement Specialist for the Asia Pacific for the NDC Partnership Support Unit and is based in Suva, Fiji. He has extensive years of work, education and lived experience in the areas of climate change, disaster risk reduction, environment conservation, food security, rural development, education, and project coordination in the Pacific region. He has collaborated with UN agencies, CROP agencies, governments, NGOs and the private sector which has enabled him to refine technical skills that contributed to successful project outputs ranging from the area of project planning and implementation and reporting, contributing to resilient livelihood.
From 2023-2024, he completed the USA Fullbright- Hubert Humphrey graduate Fellowship at the University of California (Davis), specializing in Climate Change, Environment Policy and Natural Resource Management. He holds a master's degree in Hazards, Cities and Spatial Planning from the University of Porto, Portugal. He also attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Geography in 2011 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2009 from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji.
