This easy-to-use tool provides Pacific Island Countries with a simplified mitigation planning and communications tool. This tool will produce a high-level guidance plan that will provide aid to stakeholders involved in considering the interaction between mitigation actions being considered for a long term decarbonisation pathway, and potential benefits and tradeoffs of these pathways. This tool can be used by decision makers to identify which mitigation actions will be most helpful and supportive of adaptation and resilience outcomes. This matrix can also be used to identify which interactions will be negative and therefore cause a trade-off between either a mitigation outcome, or an adaptation or resilience outcome.
