This tool created by USAID introduces climate risk screening tools for new or existing energy programs and projects that can be applied by partners, project investors, and developers. This tool works to help them all gain an initial indication of climate risks. This paper explains what climate risk screening is, why it is important, how to identify and manage climate risks, and how to apply risk screening to the energy sector. It also provides a table including several climate risk screening tools. Lastly, the paper ends with a case study about Pleikrong and the application of climate risks screen to a LEDS project.
