Ruth Nyamasege is a climate change and green economy expert with experience in environment and climate change implementation. Her academic background is in Environment and Natural Resources Management. She has worked with both national and country governments in mainstreaming climate action into development planning processes. In collaboration with the UN Environment, she worked on projects promoting sustainability and Green Economy. Ruth has also been involved in the development of sustainable standards under the African Eco-labelling Mechanism; a pan-African instrument of the African Union that aims at establishing an African eco-label to improving marketing opportunities for sustainable products and create incentives for reducing production-related emissions while adapting production methods to climate change.
The position is funded by Germany.
