Mónica Echegoyen

Consultant for the UNFCCC to support the NDC Partnership as a Senior Country Engagement Specialist and the capacity building for finance activities. I hold an International Affairs degree and 21 years of professional experience in climate change, sustainable development and environment. I worked in the Mexican Federal Government for 14 years in the design and implementation of the National Climate Change General Law. Participated as a member of the Delegation negotiatons team of Mexico for several COPs of UNFCCC since 2010 and g negotiator of the Paris Agreement. Her last previous job appointment was as Coordinator of the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency, a multi-donor fund managed by UNOPS with the aim of strength capacity building in developing countries, also hosted by UNFCCC.
