Claudio Forner

Claudio Forner works on a part time basis for the country engagement team as a Senior Country Specialist, based at the UNFCCC secretariat in Bonn.  Aside from his work for the NDC Partnership Support Unit, he also works for the UNFCCC secretariat where he leads work related to nationally determined contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.  He has previously worked for the World Bank, Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), the Colombian government, and a number of universities. Claudio has been working on climate change issues for over 15 years, and has specialized in national and international climate policy and institutions. 

He holds a BSC in biology and Master degrees in environmental management, environmental development, and renewable energy. He is a Colombian national and is married with two children.
