Lorena Córdova López

Guatemala In-Country Facilitator

Lorena is an engineer in natural resources management. She has professional experience in forest management, climate change, natural resources management, integration of gender approaches, inclusion of indigenous peoples and local communities, and participative processes for policy design. Lorena worked at the National Forest Service, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, with international cooperation projects at NGOs, and as an independent consultant. She led the preparation process for REDD+ in the country, has been a negotiator on REDD+ and LULUCF at the UNFCCC, and recently coordinated the technical team that updated Guatemala's NDC and developed its Implementation Roadmap.
