Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) Guidance for Assessing GHG Impacts of Agriculture Policies

Created by the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT), this guidance document aims to support policymakers and practitioners seeking to estimate GHG mitigation impacts in the context of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) development and implementation, national low carbon strategies, and Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMA). The document thoroughly provides a process to identifying impacts of policy, and assessing the impacts by estimating the baseline scenarios and emissions, as well as estimating the GHG Impacts Ex-Ante and Ex-Post. Additionally, the document provides a processes for monitoring and reporting as well as guidance on stakeholder participation during the assessment process.
