Somalia
Somalia submitted its revised NDC in 2021. The country commits to a 30% reduction in its estimated projected emissions by 2030. The revised NDC has a strong adaptation focus covering actions related to agriculture and food security, water resources management, public health, disaster preparedness and management, coastal and marine environments, fisheries, energy, forestry, human settlements and infrastructure as well as mitigation targets for agriculture, energy, forestry, transport, and waste. The estimated cost of NDC implementation by 2030 is USD 48.5 billion for adaptation measures and USD 6.96 billion for mitigation measures.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Somalia has requested support related to mainstream NDCs into national/subnational planning and budgeting; improve the quality and ambition of the NDC; and LT-LEDS development and/or enhancement. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including the updating of the NDC, development of NDC Finance strategy, and the placement of an in-country facilitator.
