Nynke de Witte
Climate Finance Associate
Nynke de Witte is the Climate Finance Associate for the NDC Partnership Support Unit. Nynke leads the development of climate finance knowledge products, peer exchanges among members and partners and maintains relations with stakeholders in the climate finance field. She works closely with the Partnership Steering Committee and management team, and liaises with financial institutions, organizations and networks to build coalitions for better access to climate finance and enhance shared learning.
Nynke has 15 years of experience working in public finance, policy research and evaluation. Before joining the NDC Partnership, she worked as researcher in various international consortia, as performance audit specialist at the Netherlands Court of Audit (NCA) and as (deputy) head of the Strategic Analysis Unit within the Inspectorate of the Budget at the Dutch Finance Ministry. She has extensive experience with policy research, performance budgeting and evaluation, capacity building, developing knowledge products and engaging with multiple stakeholders. At the Dutch Finance ministry, she coordinated and contributed to spending reviews and led a multi-year national evaluation reform program to strengthen evidence-informed policymaking and learning within the Dutch government. During her career she contributed to various international working groups, networks and conferences and recently conducted research for the OECD on the role of Finance Ministries in facilitating the green transition and anticipating a carbon neutral economy.
Nynke studied Human Geography and Social and Political Sciences. She obtained a Bachelor and Master degree in Human Geography from Radboud University Nijmegen and an M.Phil. degree in Social and Political Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona.
