Alan Vogelfanger

Alan is the NDC Partnership Content Developer Consultant for the Thematic Call on LT-LEDS and NDC Alignment, Update, and Enhancement. He is a former journalist, and a lawyer, from the University of Buenos Aires, with an LL.M. in International Legal Studies (American University Washington College of Law). Also, he is studying for a PhD in Educational Sciences, at the University of Buenos Aires; his research is focused on human rights education and education for sustainable development.  

Before joining NDC Partnership, Alan worked as an advisor for various public offices in Buenos Aires, such as the Ombudsperson's Office, the Legislature, the Ministry of Education, and the Judiciary. He was also a consultant for UN Argentina, the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the Human Rights Center at American University Washington College of Law, and the Global Freedom of Expression program at Columbia University. Plus, Alan was a Visiting Professional at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, in Costa Rica, and he is a professor at the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, where he also co-directs a research project.

Alan has always been interested in the interaction between human rights, sustainable development, and climate change, and has published several articles related to those topics.
