Record Growth Drives Cost Advantage of Renewable Power
A new report by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), released this week at the Global Renewables Summit, finds that despite falling fossil-fuel prices, renewables remain competitive.
The report, "Renewable Power Generation Costs in 2023," shows that decreases in the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for solar, wind and hydropower, along with recent improvements in solar and wind technologies, have created unique opportunities for investment in and deployment of renewables.
