This event aims to discuss support to countries that are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change in the formulation and implementation of their long-term and adaptation strategies. On the eve of adaptation day, Parties and non-party stakeholders will discuss the theoretical framework of long-term adaptation planning processes and the second session presents concrete examples of on-going efforts in Latin America and Africa. Recommended lines of action to better support LTAP are categorized into: institutional; monitoring & evaluation and data; implementation - finance and the private sector; public participation.
