IFU - Investment Fund for Developing Countries

The Danish Climate Investment Fund has a dual purpose. Firstly, it will contribute to reducing climate impacts and global warming by investing in projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Secondly, the fund will invest in projects that will promote the transfer of Danish technology, thereby supporting Denmark’s leading position in this expanding market in developing countries and emerging markets.

Companies can use the "ARE YOU READY FOR A MEETING" section at the fund's website (http://www.danishclimateinvestmentfund.com/) to see if they qualify for investment from the fund. If qualify, the fund will contact the company directly.

Organizational and Decision Making Structure: 

Danish Climate Investment Fund is managed by IFU, which has set up an investment team to identify opportunities and link up with Danish companies supplying relevant technologies. All investment within DCIF above DKK 25 million are decided by an external investment committee.

Co-financing is required. The fund will only be a minor investor in a project.

Other Eligibility Criteria Beyond Geography and Income: 

Invest in all DAC countries, approximately 150.
