John is a Country Specialist with the NDC Partnership Support Unit, providing analysis on member countries within the sub-Saharan Africa region and analyzing overarching takeaways from the Partnership’s in-country engagement work.
Prior to joining the Partnership, he spent two and half years in Rwanda, consulting on climate change, sustainable urban development and land use projects for the national government and various international development organizations. He has also worked for the Government of the District of Columbia, leading the city’s climate planning efforts while developing greenhouse gas inventories, a plan to reduce emissions and a framework for making the city more resilient to climate impacts.
He holds a M.A. in Community Planning from the University of Maryland and a B.Sc in biology from Saint Lawrence University.
