Gereltuya Puntsagdash is a Senior Country Specialist with the NDC Partnership Support Unit’s office in Bonn, Germany. Previously, Gereltuya was a fellow in the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program at Cornell University and worked at various bilateral development cooperation programs implemented by Germany’s Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in collaboration with Mongolia’s Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Gereltuya advised project activities related to INDC, REDD+, Climate Finance, and Access and Benefit Sharing in the context of the Nagoya Protocol (CBD) to support the mainstreaming of gender equality. Previously she worked for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
Gereltuya received a graduate degree in law (LL.M.) from the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg and an undergraduate degree in law from the Moscow Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
