Finance remains one of the most persistent barriers to NDC implementation. Many countries have identified priority actions through their NDCs yet continue to face challenges in mobilizing the finance needed. Mediterranean country experience demonstrates the importance of effective coordination, investment planning and finance mobilization frameworks that connect climate priorities with sources of finance. NDC Partnership country members are developing robust investment pipelines and engaging finance partners earlier in the planning process. These replicable efforts are creating more actionable pathways from national climate priorities to investment-ready opportunities and long-term implementation.
